Banyan Tree School is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to teach vocal and instrumental music to students from Classes I to XII and support their musical skills, creativity, discipline, confidence, and overall development. Reports To : Principal / Head of School Employment Type: Full-Time

Lodhi Road Essential Requirements
• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Music, preferably in Classical Music.
• Degree/Diploma in Music from a recognised institution.
• 3–5 years of relevant school teaching experience Preferred.
• Robust knowledge of Classical and/or traditional music.
• Good communication, classroom management, and organisational skills.
• Ability to train students for performances, competitions, and school events.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and conduct appropriate Music classes for Classes I to XII.
• Teach vocal music, basic music theory, ragas, taal, rhythm, and musical concepts.




• Develop students’ singing, listening, rhythm, and performance skills.
• Prepare lesson plans and structured music activities.
• Assess students’ musical skills, participation, and progress.
• Encourage discipline, creativity, confidence, and appreciation of music.
• Identify and support students with musical talent and potential.
• Prepare and train students for school functions, competitions, assemblies, and cultural events.
• Organise and support music performances and other cultural activities.
• Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of musical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain attendance, assessment, and activity records.
• Work with teachers and school leadership to support students’ overall development.
