Role Description The Academic Counselor Intern is a full-time, on-site role based at the BIA Kalamassery campus in Ernakulam. Responsibilities include guiding prospective and current students on suitable courses, explaining program structures, and supporting them in making informed academic and career decisions. The intern will conduct counseling sessions, respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person, and assist with admission processes and documentation. Daily tasks involve maintaining student records,



coordinating with faculty and administration, and helping organize academic events and orientation activities. The role also includes contributing to outreach initiatives, providing accurate information about BIA’s programs, and ensuring a positive, supportive experience for all learners.
Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and faculty. Candidates should possess Career Counseling and Education-related knowledge for guiding learners on future pathways. Relevant qualifications in Education, Management, or a related field are beneficial. Ability to work in office, manage multiple student cases, and maintain accurate records is expected. Proficiency in MS Office, basic data handling, and familiarity with educational or training environments is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a learner-centric mindset are highly valued.
