Chennai / Pune | Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 Days a Week in Office Need strong candidate Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Senior Tableau Developer with 8+ years of experience in BI development, advanced data visualization, and SQL to support a leading banking client. The candidate must have robust technical expertise in building interactive, high-performance dashboards and translating complex banking data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards, reports, KPI scorecards, and executive-level visualizations.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries involving joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, aggregations, and data reconciliation.
• Build advanced Tableau solutions using LOD expressions, table calculations, parameters, sets, actions, and complex calculated fields.
• Perform dashboard performance tuning, optimize extracts and data sources, and troubleshoot slow-running workbooks.
• Work with banking datasets covering transactions, deposits, loans, customer analytics, revenue, risk, collections, and operational performance.
• Publish and manage workbooks on Tableau Server/Cloud, including permissions, extract refreshes, subscriptions, and row-level security.
• Perform data validation, investigate data discrepancies, resolve production issues, and support UAT and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, business analysts, and data engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable BI solutions. Mandatory Technical Skills
• Tableau:



Advanced hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
• SQL: Robust expertise in complex queries, query optimization, joins, CTEs, and window functions.
• Advanced Visualization: LOD calculations, table calculations, dashboard actions, parameters, and interactive dashboards.
• Data Modeling: Strong understanding of relational databases, dimensional modeling, and data relationships.
• Performance Tuning: Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize dashboard performance.
• Banking Domain: Experience with banking or financial services reporting and business KPIs.
• End-to-End Delivery: Experience across requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support. Good to Have
• Experience with Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or similar databases.
• Exposure to ETL/ELT processes, Tableau Prep, Agile methodologies, and version control.
• Knowledge of banking risk, credit analytics, financial reconciliation, or regulatory reporting. Candidate Profile
• 8+ years of relevant experience in BI, analytics, and Tableau development, with strong hands-on technical expertise.
• Capable of independently developing, debugging, optimizing, and supporting production-grade dashboards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Willing to work in a hybrid mode with 3 days per week in the office in Chennai or Pune. Key Expectation: This is a hands-on development role requiring strong Tableau expertise, advanced SQL proficiency, banking domain understanding, and end-to-end ownership of BI solutions.
