Global Business Development
• Identify and build relationships with architects, interior designers, hospitality designers, design studios and other relevant trade buyers across India and international markets.
• Develop targeted outreach strategies to introduce Folk Objects’ products and collections to design professionals.
• Build and manage a pipeline of trade enquiries, project opportunities, bulk orders and repeat B2B business.
• Understand project requirements and connect designers with relevant products and furnishing solutions from our catalogue.
• Explore opportunities to get Folk Objects products specified in residential, hospitality and commercial projects.
• Develop relationships with international stockists, retail partners and potential distribution partners where relevant.
• Track outreach, meetings, leads, proposals and conversions to drive measurable business growth. 2. Designer & Creative Partnerships
• Build relationships with independent designers, artists, makers, photographers, stylists and other creatives.
• Identify opportunities for co-created collections, limited-edition products, creative collaborations and editorial projects.
• Develop partnership proposals that create value for both Folk Objects and its collaborators.

• Explore collaborations with complementary design brands, studios and creative businesses.
• Build a network of creatives who can contribute to the brand’s products, storytelling and visibility. 3. Design Community & Outreach
• Build and nurture a community of architects, interior designers and creative professionals around Folk Objects.
• Identify relevant design events, exhibitions, trade fairs, industry gatherings and networking opportunities in India and internationally.
• Organise or support designer meet-ups, product previews, studio visits and intimate community gatherings.
• Develop ongoing engagement with the design community through personalised outreach and meaningful interactions.
• Identify opportunities to showcase projects featuring Folk Objects products and build relationships through shared visibility. 4. PR & Brand Visibility
• Plan and execute PR campaigns to build Folk Objects’ visibility across design, architecture, interiors, lifestyle and relevant business publications.
• Build relationships with editors, journalists, publications, stylists and other media contacts in priority markets.
• Pitch product features, collection launches, founder stories, creative collaborations and brand narratives.
• Develop press lists, campaign calendars, pitches and press materials in collaboration with the internal team.
• Identify relevant design awards, exhibitions, editorial opportunities and industry platforms.
• Build sustained brand recognition rather than relying only on one-off media coverage. 5. Strategy, Reporting & Execution
• Map priority markets, target audiences and partnership opportunities.
• Build and maintain a structured database of designers, architects, creatives, media contacts and prospective trade partners.
• Manage outreach and follow-ups through a CRM or other tracking tools.
• Track key metrics, including qualified leads, project enquiries, active partnerships, revenue generated and PR placements.
• Work closely with the design, product, sales and marketing teams to translate opportunities into tangible outcomes.
• What We’re Looking For

• 3–6 years of experience in business development, partnerships, PR or community outreach.
• Experience in interiors, architecture, furniture, home, lifestyle, design or another creative industry is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including personalised outreach and partnership pitching.
• Confidence in building relationships with senior professionals, both in India and internationally.
• An understanding of how architects and interior designers discover and specify products for their projects.
• Experience developing partnerships, executing PR campaigns or building professional communities.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships and opportunities simultaneously.
• A proactive, resourceful approach with a clear focus on outcomes. You’ll Be a Great Fit If You
• Have a genuine interest in design, architecture, interiors, craft and contemporary living.
• Enjoy building relationships from scratch and turning conversations into opportunities.
• Can balance commercial goals with thoughtful, long-term partnerships.
• Are comfortable reaching out to people across geographies and building a credible case for why they should work with Folk Objects.
• Have a global outlook and are curious about international design communities.
• Can move comfortably between a commercial conversation with an interior design studio, a creative collaboration with an independent artist and a PR pitch to a design editor.
• Are self-driven, organised and comfortable owning outcomes from idea to execution. What Success Looks Like
• A growing network of architects, interior designers and trade partners in India and international markets.
• Qualified project enquiries, product specifications, bulk orders and repeat B2B business.
• Meaningful creative collaborations that strengthen the Folk Objects brand.
• Consistent PR coverage and increased visibility across relevant design and lifestyle platforms.
• A growing community of design professionals who engage with, specify and recommend Folk Objects.
