About SOFAR SOLAR SOFAR SOLAR is a global provider of solar PV inverters and energy storage solutions, committed to delivering innovative and reliable clean energy technologies worldwide. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Service Engineer to join our team in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for solar PV inverters and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for SOFAR solar inverters, hybrid inverters, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Perform equipment installation inspections, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance at customer sites.
• Support project delivery and commissioning for residential, commercial & industrial (C&I;), and utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, hardware, software, and communication-related technical issues.
• Conduct equipment inspections, fault analysis, and necessary repairs or component replacements.
• Provide technical training and guidance to distributors, EPC contractors, installers, and end customers.
• Coordinate with the regional service team and China headquarters to resolve complex technical issues.
• Prepare service reports, commissioning records, and technical documentation.




• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Travel to project sites across assigned territories in India as required. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in solar PV, inverter systems, energy storage, or electrical field service.
• Hands-on experience in solar inverter installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, solar PV technology, three-phase inverters, and electrical protection systems.
• Experience with C&I; or utility-scale BESS, PCS, or energy storage commissioning is highly preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with electrical testing instruments and relevant safety procedures.
• Solid troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer communication skills.
• Good communication skills in English; Hindi or relevant regional language skills are an advantage.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel frequently for on-site service.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with international technical teams.
