About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to guide the development of Pynk’s software platform and AI-enabled products. This role combines full-stack engineering with technical ownership of AI workflows and integrations. You’ll shape architecture, build and review production code, and help the team deliver secure, dependable software. You’ll work across frontend applications, backend services, databases, and AI components, turning business needs into practical product capabilities. What you’ll do
· Lead technical design and delivery across Pynk’s web applications and platform services.
· Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Node.js, Express.js, and Python.
· Develop responsive user interfaces using React or Angular.
· Design and maintain relational data systems, including PostgreSQL or MySQL.
· Build and integrate LLM-powered features, agentic workflows, and multi-step automation.
· Use frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChain to develop AI workflows where they fit product needs.
· Improve the observability, reliability, security, and performance of AI and application services.
· Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and deployment.
· Review code, mentor engineers, and help the team solve technical problems.
· Work with product and business stakeholders to define scope, assess trade-offs, and plan delivery.




· Investigate production issues and guide improvements based on user and operational feedback. What we’re looking for
· 6+ years of software engineering experience, including full-stack product development.
· Experience building production applications with JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js, and React or Angular.
· Strong backend development skills and experience designing REST APIs.
· Practical experience with Python and integrating LLMs into software products.
· Experience building agentic or multi-step AI workflows; familiarity with LangGraph or LangChain is highly relevant.
· Strong SQL and relational database skills, ideally with PostgreSQL.
· Experience with system design, application security, testing, and production deployment.
· Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, review code, and support other engineers.
· Clear communication skills and a practical approach to solving ambiguous problems. Preferred qualifications
· Experience with LLM observability, evaluation, tracing, or cost monitoring.
· Experience building enterprise software or systems that handle sensitive business data.
· Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, and distributed systems.
· Experience in HR technology, payroll, compliance, or global employment services. What success looks like
· Pynk’s platform features are delivered reliably and are easier to maintain.
· AI capabilities solve defined user or operational needs and can be monitored in production.
· Engineering decisions balance speed, quality, security, and scalability.
