Role Description The Senior Design Manager will lead the valve design and engineering function for complex industrial and nuclear-grade applications at Oswal Industries Limited. This full-time, on-site role is based in Kalol and involves overseeing end-to-end design activities, including concept development, engineering calculations, material selection, and design validation in line with international standards and customer specifications. The role includes managing a multidisciplinary design team, reviewing and approving drawings and 3D models, coordinating with production, quality, R&D;,



and testing teams, and supporting design-related audits and third-party approvals. The Senior Design Manager will collaborate closely with sales and project teams to provide technical support, optimize designs for manufacturability and cost, and ensure timely delivery of design documentation. Continuous improvement of design processes, mentoring team members, and staying updated with relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices are key aspects of the role. Qualifications
• Strong expertise in valve design and engineering, including gate, globe, check, ball, cryogenic, and pressure seal valves for high-pressure and critical applications.
• Proficiency in mechanical design tools and software (e.g., CAD/3D modeling, FEA, engineering calculations) and familiarity with design verification and validation processes.
• Solid understanding of relevant international standards and codes (e.g., API, ASME, ISO, CE/PED, IBR) and experience working with third-party inspection and certification agencies.
• Knowledge of materials and metallurgy for valve applications, including stainless steel, alloy steels, duplex/super duplex grades, and exotic alloys used in corrosive and high-temperature environments.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing, quality, testing, and R&D; teams, including exposure to advanced testing methods such as cryogenic, fire-protected, leak detection, and non-destructive testing.
