Role: Technical Sourcing & Supplier Development EngineerLocation: Delhi NCR

Role ObjectiveTo understand industrial products technically, identify suitable Indian manufacturers, evaluate their manufacturing capabilities and develop reliable suppliers for customised and difficult-to-source products.

Key Responsibilities1. Technical Understanding

- Study engineering drawings, product photographs, samples, datasheets and technical specifications.
- Understand materials, dimensions, tolerances, manufacturing processes and application requirements.
- Research unfamiliar products and determine how they are manufactured.
- Identify suitable manufacturing processes, such as CNC machining, casting, fabrication, moulding, extrusion, rubber processing and coating.

2. Supplier Identification

- Research and identify Indian manufacturers capable of producing the required products.
- Use industrial directories, manufacturer websites, trade portals, industry networks and other relevant sources.
- Contact manufacturers to understand their capabilities, equipment, materials, certifications and experience.
- Find alternative manufacturers for imported or difficult-to-source components.





3. Technical Supplier Evaluation

- Assess whether a supplier can manufacture the product according to the required specifications.
- Verify manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, testing facilities and relevant experience.
- Obtain quotations, technical information, samples and supporting documents.
- Compare suppliers based on technical suitability, quality, cost, lead time and scalability.

4. Product Development and Localisation

- Coordinate with manufacturers to develop products from drawings, samples or specifications.
- Support reverse-engineering and identification of technically suitable manufacturing routes.
- Coordinate sample development, inspection, testing and customer qualification.
- Maintain technical records and supplier databases for future requirements.

5. Reporting and Coordination

- Prepare a technical sourcing report for each assigned product.
- Maintain a database of verified manufacturers, capabilities and contact details.
- Coordinate with the founder on technical feasibility, supplier selection and development progress.
- Required SkillsDiploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in technical procurement, vendor development, manufacturing engineering,



supplier quality or industrial product development.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and technical datasheets.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and industrial components.
- Robust internet research, supplier discovery and technical communication skills.
- Ability to independently investigate unfamiliar products and find potential manufacturing sources.
- Proficiency in Excel and maintaining structured supplier records.
