1. FTTH GPON Fiber Network Operations

- Handle end-to-end FTTH fiber connectivity from OLT to customer premises.
- Perform fiber laying, routing, installation, and maintenance.
- Work with OLT, splitters, FDBs, FAT boxes, joint closures, and distribution boxes.
- Handle fiber termination, tagging, power-level checking, and network connectivity.

2. Fiber Splicing & Technical Skills

- Perform fiber optic splicing using a fusion splicing machine.
- Use an OTDR, optical power meter, and VFL for testing and troubleshooting.
- Identify fiber cuts, signal loss, high attenuation, and connectivity faults.
- Perform fiber jointing, patching, connectorization, and restoration work.
- Maintain proper splicing quality and fiber power levels.

3. Fieldwork & Network Troubleshooting

- Attend broadband installation, disconnection, and network complaints.
- Troubleshoot LOS issues, low optical power, fiber cuts, and internet connectivity problems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and emergency fiber restoration.
- Coordinate with the NOC team for network monitoring and fault resolution.
- Ensure all assigned field complaints are resolved within the required time.

4. Customer Handling & Team Coordination

- Visit customer locations to resolve internet connectivity issues.




- Explain technical problems and solutions professionally to customers.
- Coordinate with the NOC team, team leaders, helpers, and other technicians.
- Guide helpers during fiber installation, cable pulling, ladder work, and maintenance.
- Provide timely updates on completed work and pending complaints.

5. Network Documentation & Materials

- Maintain daily fieldwork reports and complaint closure updates.
- Track fiber routes, splitter details, FDB ports, and customer connections.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and company materials.
- Follow safety procedures while working on poles, ladders, and outdoor fiber networks.
- Required SkillsMinimum 2 years of experience in FTTH / GPON / ISP fiber networking.
- Robust end-to-end fiber splicing and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with OTDR, fusion splicing machine, and optical power meter.
- Knowledge of OLT, ONT/ONU, splitters, FDB/FAT, and fiber distribution.
- Ability to identify and resolve fiber cuts and optical signal issues.
- Good customer-handling and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in field operations.
- Willingness to travel locally for network installation and maintenance.
