Job Title: Quality Inspection Manager

Department: Production & Quality Control

Key Responsibilities

1. Continuous Production Floor Monitoring

- Remain physically present in the production area and actively monitor ongoing production throughout the day.
- Regularly move between machines and production stations to inspect product quality at every stage.
- Closely observe machine operators and production processes to identify potential quality issues at the earliest stage.
- Ensure that quality standards are maintained consistently during the entire production cycle, not just during final inspection.

2. First-Piece Inspection & Production Start-Up Approval

- Be physically present at the machine whenever a new production run, design, or batch begins.
- Inspect the initial pieces produced immediately after the machine starts operating.
- Verify that the production output matches the approved sample, reference photograph, design, and specifications.
- Check the initial pieces for a few minutes and continue monitoring to ensure that production remains consistent.
- Identify and communicate any deviations immediately, ensuring that issues are corrected before bulk production continues.

3. Detailed Product Quality Inspection

Inspect products for all critical quality parameters, including:

- Color Matching: Ensure that the produced colors accurately match the approved color references, samples, and photographs.
- Design Accuracy: Verify that the product design, shape, patterns, lettering, and other visual elements match the approved design.
- Thickness & Dimensions: Check that product thickness, size, and other measurements meet the required specifications.
- Baking / Curing Quality: Identify under-baked, improperly cured, or insufficiently processed pieces.
- Burning & Heat Damage: Check for burnt pieces, discoloration, overheating marks, and other heat-related defects.
- Finishing & Appearance: Inspect for surface defects, uneven finishing, unwanted marks, deformation, and other visible imperfections.
- Intricate Detailing: Pay close attention to fine design elements, small patterns, edges, lettering, color separation, and other intricate details.
- Consistency:

Ensure that the quality of every piece remains consistent throughout the production batch.

4. Immediate Identification & Resolution of Quality Issues

- Identify defects and deviations as soon as they occur during production.
- Communicate quality concerns directly to machine operators and the production team.
- Work closely with operators and production supervisors to understand the root cause of defects.
- Discuss and implement corrective actions to resolve issues before production continues at scale.
- Reinspect products after corrective measures have been implemented to confirm that the issue has been resolved.
- Escalate recurring or serious quality issues to management.

5. Coordination with Production Team

- Work closely with machine operators, production supervisors, and other relevant team members to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure operators understand the approved product specifications and quality expectations.
- Coordinate with the production team whenever there are changes in colors, designs, materials, machine settings, or production requirements.
- Maintain clear communication regarding defects, corrections, and production quality concerns.
- Help minimize rejections, rework, material wastage, and avoidable production losses.

6. Quality Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain records of quality issues identified during production.
- Document recurring defects, corrective actions taken, and their outcomes.
- Report major quality concerns and repeated production inconsistencies to management.
- Track rejection rates and identify opportunities to improve production quality.
- Ensure that quality-related instructions are communicated clearly to the relevant team members.
- Required Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in quality control, quality inspection, manufacturing, or production supervision.
- Experience working directly on a factory production floor is highly preferred.

- Robust attention to detail and the ability to identify even minor product defects.
- Good understanding of color matching, visual inspection, product specifications, and finishing quality.
- Ability to identify defects and work with operators to determine and implement corrective actions.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and under production deadlines.
- A practical, problem-solving approach to maintaining consistent product quality.

Candidates with experience in PVC products, rubber products, molded products, printing, color mixing, or similar manufacturing processes will be preferred.

Key Expectations

The ideal candidate must be hands-on, observant, and actively involved in day-to-day production quality.

- This is not a desk-based or end-of-line inspection role.
- The candidate must spend the majority of the working day physically present on the production floor.
- Quality checks must happen during production, especially when a new batch or production run begins.
- The candidate must be capable of identifying even small variations in color, thickness, baking, finishing, and design details.
- Problems must be highlighted and addressed immediately in coordination with the production team.
- The primary objective is to prevent defects during production rather than discover them after the entire batch has been manufactured.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)The candidate’s performance will be evaluated based on:

- Reduction in defective and rejected products.
- Accuracy of color and design matching.
- Early identification of production defects.
- Reduction in material wastage and rework.
- Consistency in product quality across production batches.
- Effectiveness in coordinating with operators to resolve recurring issues.
- Compliance with approved samples, specifications, and quality standards.

-

Our Expectation: We need someone who takes ownership of product quality, pays attention to the smallest details, and ensures that the products coming off our machines meet the required standards from the very beginning of production until the batch is completed.
