We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Premium Audit Analyst to conduct Workers' Compensation and General Liability insurance audits. The role involves reviewing payroll and business records, communicating with clients to clarify discrepancies, and completing accurate audit reports within established deadlines.
This is a target-driven role where both productivity and quality matter. Training will be provided on company processes, but candidates should have a robust analytical background, confidence in handling client communications, and the ability to manage a high volume of work without compromising accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct premium audits for Workers' Compensation and General Liability insurance policies across different types of businesses and professions.
- Review payroll records, tax documents, financial statements, and other business records to determine the correct insurance premium exposure.
- Contact business owners, accountants, and payroll representatives to request missing documents and clarify discrepancies.
- Send follow-up queries to clients and review their responses to complete audits accurately.
- Analyze business operations, employee classifications, payroll figures, and supporting documentation as required for the audit.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and complete audit reports in accordance with established guidelines.
- Manage multiple audits simultaneously and meet daily or weekly productivity targets.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy while completing audits within required turnaround times.
- Follow up on outstanding client information and ensure audits progress without unnecessary delays.
Requirements
- Experience in auditing,
particularly Workers' Compensation Premium Auditing, is highly preferred.
- Experience reviewing payroll records, tax documents, financial records, or other business documentation.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify inconsistencies, discrepancies, and missing information.
- Comfortable communicating with clients, business owners, accountants, and payroll contacts over the phone and through email.
- Ability to ask the right questions, follow up on queries, and obtain the information needed to complete an audit.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while handling a high volume of assignments.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a target-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
Candidates with direct experience conducting insurance premium audits will receive preference over those whose experience is limited to general administrative support, data entry, or claims processing.
What Success Looks Like:
Success in this role means completing a high volume of audits while maintaining consistent accuracy and quality. The ideal candidate is comfortable working toward measurable targets, follows up persistently with clients, resolves queries efficiently, and takes ownership of each audit through completion.
Training on the company's specific audit procedures will be provided. However, we are looking for candidates who already have the analytical ability, documentation review skills, client communication experience, and work discipline required to perform effectively in a high-volume auditing environment.
