About Smartworks and the role
Smartworks Coworking Spaces Limited is a listed managed campus operator, providing large, fully serviced office campuses to enterprises across major Indian cities.
This role is the engine room of the company's capital markets function. It prepares everything investors see, keeps track of who owns the stock and who we meet, supports management in every investor interaction, and gives leadership timely analysis on acquisitions and promoter shareholding matters.
Key responsibilities
1. Quarterly earnings cycle
- Build the quarterly earnings presentation: financial and operating KPIs, portfolio updates, guidance and narrative, in line with the house style.
- Draft the earnings call script for the founders and CFO, and prepare an anticipated Q&A; pack with data-backed answers.
- Draft the quarterly shareholder letter in the founders' voice.
- Coordinate the timeline with Finance, the auditors and the Company Secretary so results, deck and filings go out on schedule.
2. Roadshows and investor conferences
- Plan and run deal and non-deal roadshows (domestic and international): target lists, broker coordination, meeting schedules, logistics and briefing notes.
- Manage participation in broker-hosted investor conferences, including 1x1 and group meeting requests.
- Attend investor meetings, take notes, track the questions raised and close out follow-ups.
- Feed recurring investor questions back into the deck, script and Q&A; pack.
3. Investor presentation and materials
- Keep the corporate investor presentation current after every quarter and every material event.
- Prepare tailored versions for specific investors, conferences and strategic discussions.
4. Investor database and engagement tracking
- Maintain a database of current and prospective investors: institution, fund, contacts, holdings, investment style and meeting history.
- Use it to target recent investors, prioritise meetings and report engagement to management.
5. Weekly BENPOS analysis
- Analyse the weekly beneficiary position (BENPOS) data from the RTA.
- Track changes in institutional, retail and promoter holdings; identify new entrants, exits and build-ups.
- Circulate a weekly shareholding movement note to management and link it to investor targeting.
6. M&A; opportunity evaluation
- Screen and evaluate acquisition, merger and partnership opportunities in flexible workspace and adjacent sectors.
- Build financial models and valuations (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions) and run synergy analysis.
- Support due diligence with external advisors and prepare board and Audit Committee material, including related-party transaction requirements where relevant.
7. Review of external communications
- Review press releases, stock exchange intimations, media statements, website content and investor-facing material for accuracy, consistency and SEBI LODR compliance.
- Make sure numbers and messaging match published financials and earlier disclosures.
