We are looking for a Video Editor who can transform raw food footage into high-quality, engaging and visually appealing Instagram Reels. The candidate should be able to create premium food content through strong storytelling, accurate editing, music synchronization, sound design and professional colour grading. The focus of this role is to make food content visually tempting and engaging, encouraging viewers to crave the product.
1. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Video Editing and Storytelling
- Edit raw footage of food preparation and serving into engaging Instagram Reels.
- Create a 20–30-second Reel showcasing a café's pizza.
- Select the strongest shots to create a visually appealing sequence.
- Use effective storytelling to showcase the food experience.
- Maintain smooth pacing throughout the video.
- Create a strong opening and ending to capture and retain viewers' attention.
- Ensure the final output looks premium and suitable for Instagram.
B. Music Synchronization and Sound Design
- Select music that matches the café's vibe.
- Synchronize video cuts with the music beats.
- Create clean cuts on beats.
- Incorporate appropriate sound effects, including:
- Cheese-stretch sounds.
- Cutting sounds.
- Oven sounds.
- Subtle food ASMR where appropriate.
- Ensure sound effects enhance the food experience rather than distract from it.
- Avoid excessive use of sound effects.
C. Creative Editing Techniques
- Use creative transitions where appropriate.
- Apply speed ramps when suitable for the footage.
- Use slow-motion effectively to highlight food details.
- Maintain professional editing quality without unnecessary transitions or excessive effects.
D. Colour Correction and Grading
- Perform professional colour correction.
- Apply food-focused colour grading to make the pizza visually tempting.
- Maintain a premium and appealing visual appearance throughout the Reel.
E. Typography and Motion Graphics
- Use clean, readable typography.
- Incorporate subtle motion graphics where appropriate.
- Ensure text and graphics complement the food visuals without overwhelming the content.
F. Visual Composition
- Maintain proper framing and composition.
- Select visually strong shots.
- Ensure the food remains the primary focus.
- Maintain consistency in visual quality throughout the video.
1. Technical Requirements
The candidate must be able to deliver the Reel in the following format:
- Aspect Ratio: 9:16 vertical.
- Resolution: 1080 × 1920 pixels.
- Duration: 20–30 seconds.
- Final Format: Instagram-ready MP4.
- Project File: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
1. Practical Assessment
Candidates will be provided with raw footage of a pizza being prepared and/or served. The candidate must create a 20–30-second Instagram Reel that demonstrates:
- Strong food storytelling.
- Effective shot selection and pacing.
- Music synchronization and sound design.
- Creative transitions and appropriate speed ramps.
- Effective slow-motion usage.
- Professional colour correction and food-focused grading.
- Clean typography and subtle motion graphics.
- Good framing, composition and attention to detail.
- A compelling opening and ending.
Key expectation: The Reel should not merely make the pizza look good; it should make the viewer crave it.

The final video should transform ordinary food footage into engaging, premium social media content through storytelling, pacing, music, colour and sound. The edit should be visually appealing, professionally executed and designed to create a strong food craving. Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
