About the Opportunity

Lead engineering for a high-scale developer marketplace already handling 7–9 billion API calls per month and serving millions of developers.

This is not a zero-to-one experiment. You’ll take ownership of a live, mission-critical platform with engineering challenges comparable to Stripe- and Twilio-level infrastructure.

As AI agents become first-class consumers of APIs, you’ll help shape the future of how agents discover, access, call, and pay for APIs across the open internet.

? What You’ll Do

- Lead architecture, design, development, and scaling of a high-performance API platform.
- Stay deeply hands-on with full-stack engineering, contributing approximately 60% of your time to technical execution.
- Spend approximately 40% of your time building, mentoring, and managing the engineering team.
- Own system reliability, scalability, performance, security, and infrastructure economics.
- Drive end-to-end product engineering across backend services, APIs, frontend applications, and distributed systems.
- Build and evolve the platform for the next generation of AI-agent-driven API consumption.




- Establish engineering best practices, technical roadmaps, and a culture of ownership and execution.

✅ What We’re Looking For

- Strong experience in Full Stack Engineering, with deep expertise in backend architecture and scalable distributed systems.
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating high-traffic production platforms.
- Strong proficiency in up-to-date backend technologies, API development, databases, cloud infrastructure, and frontend frameworks.
- Experience with system design, microservices, performance optimization, observability, and production reliability.
- Ability to move seamlessly between writing production code, making architectural decisions, and leading engineering teams.
- Startup mindset with a strong bias toward execution, ownership, and building scalable products.
- Experience leading engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.
