Role Description This is a full-time, in office Technician role based in Chennai. The Technician will support wind turbine blade inspection, repair, and maintenance activities, following established safety procedures and technical standards.

Daily tasks may include assisting with rope-access operations, preparing tools and materials, documenting blade conditions, and supporting preventive maintenance work on turbine blades and related components. The role involves working closely with engineering and field teams to execute maintenance plans, report issues, and ensure reliability of wind energy assets.



The Technician is expected to follow all safety guidelines, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the quality and efficiency of on-site operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong mechanical or electrical aptitude, with the ability to work with tools and equipment used in inspection, repair, and maintenance.
- Candidates should possess skills in following technical instructions, reading basic engineering or maintenance documentation, and adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Candidates should possess sound awareness of safety practices, including working at heights, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with safety regulations.
- Candidates should possess good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to work in outdoor and elevated environments for extended periods.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and field colleagues.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, or renewable energy disciplines is beneficial; prior experience in wind turbine maintenance, rope-access work, or industrial field service is an added advantage.
- Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a commitment to reliability and quality in maintenance work are highly valued.
