Company Description: Habibi’s Cafe & Bistro is a modern Middle Eastern café and bistro in Hiranandani Estate, Thane, known for bold flavours, thoughtfully crafted beverages, and warm, welcoming hospitality.

The venue offers Middle Eastern cuisine and all-day dining, along with specialty coffee, craft matcha, and a curated selection of craft beers. Guests can visit throughout the day, from breakfast and coffee to lunch, evening brews, and dinner, making it a versatile space for different occasions.

Role Description The Steward role is a full-time, on-site position based at Habibi’s Cafe & Bistro in Thane. The steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dishwashing area, and service zones, including washing dishes, utensils, and cookware, and ensuring they are properly stored. Day-to-day tasks include supporting the kitchen and service teams with basic food preparation, replenishing service stations, clearing tables, and managing waste disposal in line with safety and sanitation standards.

The steward helps set up and break down workstations, keeps equipment and storage areas organised, and follows all health and safety guidelines. This role also involves cooperating with team members,



responding to requests during busy service periods, and contributing to a positive, efficient working environment.

Qualifications

- Solid customer service and communication skills to interact courteously with guests and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Knowledge of food & beverage operations and basic food service practices, including hygiene, handling, and presentation standards.
- Ability to follow training, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Attention to cleanliness and detail, with the physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a busy kitchen setting.
- Prior experience in a café, restaurant, or hotel environment is an advantage but not mandatory; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a respectful, team-oriented attitude; basic spoken English or local language skills are beneficial.
