About the RoleWe are looking for a creative, proactive, and results-driven Social Media Executive / Senior Social Media Executive to manage, grow, and strengthen our social media presence.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, video production, and organic audience growth. They should be comfortable working both behind and in front of the camera, executing content independently, and identifying opportunities to expand our presence across digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities1. Social Media Management & Growth

- Manage and grow social media channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat & emerging platforms.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve organic reach, engagement, followers, and brand visibility.
- Plan and maintain content calendars to ensure consistent posting.
- Identify opportunities to launch and scale recent social media channels.

2. Content Creation & Execution

- Conceptualise and create engaging reels, shorts, stories, static posts, and other platform-specific content.
- Write compelling captions, hooks, scripts, and social media copy.
- Stay updated with trending content formats, audio, and viral content opportunities.
- Be comfortable appearing on camera and creating engaging video content.

3. Video Production & Editing

- Independently plan, coordinate, and execute content shoots.
- Shoot high-quality videos using smartphones and basic filming equipment.
- Edit reels and short-form videos using CapCut, Instagram Edits, InShot, VN, or similar tools.
- Handle basic editing requirements, including transitions, subtitles, audio, and visual enhancements.

4. Social Media Strategy & Analytics

- Monitor content performance, engagement rates, follower growth, and reach.
- Use platform insights to identify high-performing content and optimise future strategies.
- Conduct competitor analysis and identify emerging social media trends.




- Experiment with new content ideas, formats, and growth strategies.

5. Collaboration & Campaign Execution

- Coordinate with design, video, marketing, and other internal teams for content execution.
- Support social media campaigns, events, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Work with internal stakeholders, students, faculty, and other participants to create engaging content.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Social Media Platforms: Strong working knowledge of Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and their algorithms.
- Video Editing: Hands-on experience with Edits, InShot, VN, or similar mobile editing applications.
- AI Tools: Working knowledge of ChatGPT, Canva and other AI-powered tools for content ideation, scripting, editing, and productivity.
- Content Writing: Ability to write engaging hooks, captions, scripts, and short-form content.
- Content Production: Basic understanding of videography, framing, lighting, audio, and shoot execution.
- Social Media Analytics: Familiarity with Instagram Insights, Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, and LinkedIn Analytics.
- Trend Research: Ability to identify relevant trends and adapt them to the brand's communication style.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, including confidence in front of the camera.
- Creative Thinking: Ability to independently develop fresh content ideas and execute them effectively.
- Time Management: Ability to manage content calendars, deadlines, and multiple social media projects.

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
- Proven experience in growing social media accounts organically.
- Strong understanding of short-form video content and social media engagement strategies.
- Ability to independently conceptualise, shoot, edit, and publish content.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong ownership, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Experience managing brand or business social media accounts is preferred.
