Designation: Specialist - Corporate Finance

Location: Bangalore

Shift timing: General Shift

Experience: 4 to 5 years' experience working on managing payroll accounting including salary, bonus, incentives, and other compensation costs.

Role Description

The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance of payroll-related transactions. Candidates with direct payroll accounting experience are preferred. However, candidates with strong accounting fundamentals, GL, month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance experience who are willing to work in payroll accounting can also be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage payroll accounting and employee cost accounting, including salary, bonus, incentives, and other compensation costs.
- Review and post payroll-related journal entries into the General Ledger
- Handle payroll provisions, accruals, true-ups, and month-end/year-end closing activities
- Perform reconciliation of payroll records with GL, bank payments, and balance sheet accounts
- Ensure correct accounting and reconciliation of statutory liabilities such as PF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax, Gratuity, and other employee-related obligations
- Support internal, statutory, and financial audits related to payroll and employee costs.
- Ensure adherence to financial controls, accounting policies, and statutory and Labour compliance requirements.
- Coordinate closely with, HR, Finance, Treasury, Tax, and other relevant teams.
- Drive process improvements and strengthen controls around payroll accounting and reconciliations.





KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Functional/Technical

- Proficient in Payroll/Accounting Software Application
- Experience in payroll accounting and payroll processing
- Knowledge of Local laws and regulations
- Working knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent skills with a strong focus on member service
- Handle highly confidential issues with appropriate discretion
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information.
- Excellent in verbal, written and communication skills in English and Local language.
- Strong experience in Financial Accounting / R2R / GL / Controllership
- Good understanding of month-end close, journal entries, provisions, reconciliations, and compliance
- Exposure statutory compliance will be preferred

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION

 Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
