Identify and qualify recent suppliers in India and overseas; run RFQs and techno commercial comparisons.
- Develop vendors through capability audits (SMT, testing, crimping, panel assembly) and PPAP
- Build should-cost models, negotiate price and terms, and deliver cost reduction via VA/VE, alternates and localisation.
- Support R&D; on BOM reviews, DFM and obsolescence; secure supply through alternate sources and shortage management.
- Manage Contracts and compliance Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of PCBA processes, IPC standards, drives, controllers and switchgear; can read schematics, BOMs and Gerbers.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills;
