Backed by leading Indian VCs, founders, and angel investors, the company is redesigning traditional retail supply chains to cut the production-to-plate cycle down to hours. Freshly’s strong private-label model enables consistent quality, better control over sourcing, and efficient operations.

The goal is to provide fresh, clean, high-quality food at accessible price points with complete transparency to the consumers.

Role Description

You’ll own the supply base for Freshly’s private-label products end to end. You’ll find vendors and set standards, manage relationships, and keep improving how supply works. You’ll work closely with product development, quality assurance, operations and finance.

What you'll do

Find and evaluate vendors

- Identify suppliers across Delhi NCR. Use FSSAI databases, B2B platforms, trade fairs, market visits and your own network.
- Visit and assess plants for licences, hygiene, cold chain, capacity and cost. Run audits with the QA team.
- Our labels carry our vendors’ names, so the vendors you bring in become part of the brand.

Set standards and onboard
- Agree product specs, shelf life, batch coding and testing in writing.
- Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, payment terms and private-label contracts.
- Make sure every vendor and product meets FSSAI licensing, labelling and food safety rules.





Manage and grow vendors
- Track vendor performance: quality, fill rate, on-time delivery and cost.
- Run regular reviews with vendors and build long-term partnerships based on trust.
- Manage sourcing risk with backup suppliers and contingency plans, so we never miss a day’s supply.

Plan and improve
- Own procurement planning for private-label products, working with operations on demand forecasts.
- Lead current product and packaging development, from first sample to trial to launch.
- Research the market and category to spot new products, vendors and cost savings.
- Keep making the supply chain more efficient, both in cost and in time from production to customer.

What we're looking for

Must have

- 2-4 years in vendor sourcing, vendor development, procurement or category management in Food & Beverage industry.
- Hands-on experience with private-label or branded products in the Food & Beverage industry.
- Strong negotiation, contract management and cost optimisation skills.
- Analytical skills: tracking vendor performance, demand forecasting and market research.
- Ability to work across operations, quality, product and finance teams.
- Strong communication skills in Hindi and English.

Good to have
- Experience at a quick-commerce, e-grocery, D2C food or modern retail company
- An existing network of food manufacturers in Delhi NCR.
- A degree in Supply Chain, Business, Food Technology, Dairy Technology or a related field.
