Role Description The SolidWorks Design Engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical components and assemblies for advanced laser systems using SolidWorks and other CAD tools. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings, performing design reviews, and collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure manufacturability and performance.

The role involves optimizing designs for laser applications, supporting prototype development, and updating documentation based on testing and feedback. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bengaluru South,



with a combination of on-site work for collaboration and testing, and some work-from-home flexibility for design and documentation tasks.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills for creating and refining laser system components and assemblies.
- Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering skills, including understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and structural considerations.
- Candidates should possess advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, ideally with hands-on experience in SolidWorks and related design tools.
- Candidates should possess foundational Electrical Engineering knowledge to coordinate mechanical designs with electrical and control systems.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Experience in industrial equipment, laser systems, automation, or precision machinery design is highly beneficial.
- Ability to interpret engineering standards, perform tolerance analysis, and prepare manufacturing-ready drawings.
- Robust problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
