SEO Executive – SEO, AEO & GEO

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on SEO Executive who understands how modern organic search works across Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, AEO and emerging AI search/GEO practices. You will work closely with the SEO Manager, Content Strategist and development teams to execute organic growth strategies across multiple client websites.

This is not a role limited to keyword tracking, backlink reporting or routine SEO checklists. We are looking for someone who can analyse a website, identify problems and opportunities, implement improvements, monitor results and continuously optimise performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical SEO

- Conduct regular technical SEO audits.
- Monitor website crawling, indexing and overall search health.
- Identify and troubleshoot indexing issues using Google Search Console.
- Review and optimise XML sitemaps and robots.txt.
- Identify canonicalisation, duplication and redirect issues.
- Find and resolve broken links and crawl errors.
- Review website architecture and crawl depth.
- Identify Core Web Vitals and page-speed issues.
- Work with developers/vendors to implement technical SEO recommendations.
- Validate fixes after implementation.
- Support website migrations and major website changes from an SEO perspective.
- Review and recommend appropriate structured data/schema implementation.

You are not expected to be a developer, but you should be able to identify technical SEO problems, explain the required solution and verify whether it has been implemented correctly. On-Page SEO
- Conduct keyword and search-intent research.
- Create and maintain keyword-to-page mapping.
- Optimise existing website pages.
- Recommend improvements to titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs and page structure.
- Identify keyword cannibalisation and content overlap.
- Develop and implement internal-linking recommendations.
- Optimise commercial/service/programme/category pages for relevant search opportunities.
- Work with the Content Strategist on content optimisation requirements.




- Identify pages requiring refreshes, consolidation or expansion.
- Ensure on-page recommendations are implemented correctly.

SEO Analysis & Monitoring
- Work extensively with Google Search Console.
- Monitor clicks, impressions, CTR, average positions and query/page-level performance.
- Identify traffic and ranking gains or losses and investigate their causes.
- Monitor organic traffic and conversions through GA4.
- Conduct competitor and SERP analysis.
- Track priority keywords/topics and landing-page performance.
- Identify high-impression/low-CTR opportunities.
- Investigate sudden changes in traffic, rankings or indexing.
- Prepare meaningful insights for monthly client reporting.

We expect the SEO Executive to go beyond: "Traffic increased by 15%." You should be able to investigate why it increased, where it increased, whether the traffic was relevant and what should be done next. AEO & GEO / AI Search

You will also support work across Answer Engine Optimisation and Generative Engine Optimisation. Responsibilities may include:

- Researching questions and prompts relevant to client audiences.
- Identifying opportunities for answer-first content.
- Supporting FAQ and structured-content optimisation.
- Reviewing entity and topical coverage.
- Helping optimise content so information can be easily understood and extracted by search and AI systems.
- Monitoring brand/client visibility across relevant AI search experiences.
- Supporting schema and structured-data recommendations.
- Working with the SEO Manager and Content Strategist on experiments designed to improve AI visibility.

We do not expect years of formal GEO experience. We do expect you to be curious about how search is changing and willing to continuously experiment and learn.

Collaboration





You will work closely with:
- SEO Manager – strategy, prioritisation and quality review.
- SEO Content Strategist & Writer – content planning, optimisation and internal linking.
- Junior Search Visibility Executive – research, monitoring and recurring execution.
- Developers/Vendors – implementation of technical SEO requirements.

You may also participate in client discussions when technical or performance insights need to be explained. Tools & Skills

You should be comfortable with or willing to become proficient in:

- Google Search Console
- Google Analytics 4
- Google Keyword Planner
- Screaming Frog
- Ahrefs / Semrush / Ubersuggest or similar SEO platforms
- PageSpeed Insights
- Google Trends
- Schema/structured-data testing tools
- Excel / Google Sheets
- AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, analysis and productivity

Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and common CMS platforms such as WordPress/Shopify would be an advantage.

What We're Looking For

- 2-4 years of hands-on SEO experience.
- Strong understanding of Technical and On-Page SEO.
- Valuable understanding of keyword research and search intent.
- Practical experience with Google Search Console.
- Ability to conduct and interpret technical SEO audits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Understanding of internal linking and website architecture.
- Familiarity with structured data/schema.
- Ability to work across multiple websites simultaneously.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to document recommendations clearly for developers and other team members.
- Interest in AEO, GEO and AI-powered search.
- Strong ownership and willingness to investigate problems independently.

What We're Not Looking For We are not looking for someone whose SEO process is limited to: Keyword research → Blog publishing → Backlinks → Ranking report.
