Perform welding of process piping, utility piping, and equipment connections according to approved drawings and procedures. Perform welding, fabrication, installation, and repair of Mild Steel (MS) and Stainless Steel (SS) pipelines and mechanical components. Perform arc welding (SMAW) and other approved welding processes for MS piping, supports, structures, and equipment. Perform welding of pipe joints, elbows, tees, reducers, flanges, valves, and other piping accessories. Carry out fabrication and installation of MS and SS pipe supports, brackets, frames, and structural components. Carry out grinding, weld finishing, and polishing of SS weld joints as specified. Inspect weld joints for cracks, porosity, undercut, incomplete penetration, and other visible defects. Perform maintenance and repair of leaking or damaged piping joints in coordination with the engineering department. Understanding of pipe fit-up, welding positions, root gap, joint preparation, and weld finishing. Understanding of hot work permits, fire safety, PPE, GMP, and workplace housekeeping.
