Core Responsibilities:

- Deploy, manage, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-prem & cloud)
- Monitor and ensure cluster health, performance, and availability
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
- Implement scaling, load balancing, and resource optimization
- Configure and manage: Namespaces, RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), Network policies
- Troubleshoot cluster, application, and networking issues
- Perform cluster upgrades, patching, and backups
- Ensure security best practices (image scanning, secrets management, policies)
- Work with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD integrations
- Automate processes using scripts and tools

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

Kubernetes Expertise:

- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Kubernetes architecture & components
- Cluster setup and lifecycle management

Experience managing:

- EKS (AWS Kubernetes)



and/or OpenShift (OCP)

Knowledge of:

- Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps,Secrets

Kubernetes Security:

- Kubernetes security practices
- RBAC, Network Policies
- Pod Security Standards
- Experience securing clusters and workloads

Containerization:

- Expertise in Docker
- Image creation, optimization, and registry management

Helm & Packaging

- Experience with Helm charts
- Deployment and configuration management
- Versioning and rollbacks

System Administration:

- Strong Linux administration skills
- Knowledge of networking, storage, and system monitoring

Monitoring & Logging:

Familiarity with tools like:

- Prometheus, Grafana
- ELK/EFK stack

Automation & Scripting

Proficiency in:

- Bash scripting
- Basic Python scripting
- Automating operational tasks

Good to Have Skills:

Cloud platforms:

- AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Infrastructure as Code:
- Terraform

CI/CD tools:

- GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps

Configuration management:

- Ansible

Virtualization:

- Knowledge of VMware / virtualization platforms

Key Competencies:

- Robust troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience in high-availability environments
- Ability to handle production incidents
- Good collaboration and communication skill

Work Experience: 4–6 years hands-on Kubernetes experience

Educational Qualification:

BE. / B.Tech., M.E./M.Tech. or M. Sc. in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering / MCA
