SAP BTP Developer (CAP + Fiori/UI5 + Integration Suite)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on SAP BTP Developer to design and build cloud-native applications, custom Fiori apps, and integrations on the SAP Business Technology Platform. This is a development role — you will be writing code (CAP services, UI5 apps, integration flows) day to day, not administering systems or deploying standard apps. The candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP and should or may have expertise in these modules.

You will work alongside functional consultants and architects to turn business requirements into clean, scalable extensions that sit outside the S/4HANA core.

What You'll Do

Build enterprise applications on SAP BTP using the SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model (Java)

Develop custom SAP Fiori / UI5 applications — views, controllers, OData models, custom controls

Design and expose OData (v2/v4) services and consume SAP and third-party APIs

Build and maintain integration flows in SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI) — iFlows, mappings, adapters, API Management

Integrate applications with SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA Cloud (HDI containers, CDS views)





Implement authentication and security on BTP (XSUAA, IAS, destinations, Cloud Connector, roles and scopes)

Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production support

Write technical specifications and maintain documentation

Must-Have

8+ years building applications on SAP BTP with hands-on SAP experience

Hands-on SAP CAP development — building services with CDS entities in Java

Hands-on SAP Fiori / UI5 development — custom apps you have coded

OData service development and consumption

SAP Integration Suite / CPI — building integration flows

Integration with SAP S/4HANA via OData / APIs

Working knowledge of BTP security — XSUAA, IAS, destinations, Cloud Connector

Proficiency in Java

Comfortable with SAP Business Application Studio and Git-based workflows

Nice-to-Have

SAP HANA Cloud / HDI containers, CDS modeling

Event-driven architecture — Event Mesh / Advanced Event Mesh, CQRS, outbox pattern

SAP Build (Apps / Process Automation / Work Zone)

SAP Joule / Business AI — building Skills/Agents (strong differentiator)

ABAP RAP / CDS (for S/4HANA core extensions)

CI/CD pipelines and DevOps for BTP

SAP certification in BTP, CAP, or Fiori
