Role Description The Senior Research and Development Manager – Polymers is a full-time, on-site role based in Pendurthi. This role leads R&D; initiatives for polymer products, overseeing formulation development, process optimization, and product performance improvement across key application areas.

Responsibilities include managing laboratory activities, guiding pilot trials, collaborating with production teams, and ensuring alignment of R&D; outcomes with business and customer needs. The role involves supervising and mentoring R&D; staff, setting technical objectives, and implementing best practices for safety, quality, and compliance.



The manager will also interact with customers and internal stakeholders to identify new opportunities, support application development, and drive continuous innovation in polymer technologies.

Qualifications

- Strong technical expertise in polymer science, chemical engineering, or materials science, preferably related to polyacrylamide or specialty polymers.
- Proven experience in leading R&D; projects, including product development, scale-up, and process optimization in an industrial setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor multidisciplinary R&D; teams, set priorities, and deliver results within timelines and budgets.
- Experience with applications in sectors such as wastewater treatment, ceramics, textiles, paper, detergents, paints, or related industries.
- Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and use of relevant laboratory and testing equipment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with production, quality, sales, and customers.
- Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and quality standards applicable to chemical and polymer manufacturing environments.
- Master’s or PhD in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline; significant relevant industry experience in a senior technical or managerial role.
- Ability to operate effectively on-site, with a hands-on approach to plant trials, troubleshooting, and implementation of current processes.
