Role Description As a Senior Physical Design Engineer at 7Rays Semiconductors, you will be responsible for driving block-level and full-chip physical implementation activities, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure. You will perform power, performance, and area optimization, run sign-off checks, and collaborate closely with RTL, logic design, and verification teams to ensure high-quality, manufacturable designs. The role involves analyzing and resolving physical verification issues, supporting design-for-test and low-power implementation, and contributing to methodology improvements and automation scripts.

You will also mentor junior engineers, review their work,



and help maintain best practices across projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and timing/power optimization.
- Candidates should possess skills in Physical Verification, such as DRC, LVS, ERC, and sign-off analysis using industry-standard tools.
- Candidates should possess skills in Logic Design and Circuit Design, with a solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, timing concepts, and low-power design techniques.
- Candidates should possess skills in RTL Design, including familiarity with Verilog/SystemVerilog and the ability to interface effectively with front-end design teams.
- Relevant experience with EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens), scripting languages (such as Python, Perl, or TCL), and standard industry flows.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, with several years of experience in physical design implementation for complex SoCs or ASICs.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively in collaborative, deadline-driven environments.
