Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Manager – Quality Control to lead quality assurance and quality control operations across forging, machining, finishing, and final inspection processes in a hand tools manufacturing environment. The candidate must have strong expertise in forging line quality, process control, customer quality requirements, supplier quality, and quality management systems to ensure product reliability, defect prevention, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities across forging, machining, heat treatment, finishing, and final inspection.

· Ensure effective quality control of forging operations, including dimensional accuracy, material defects, cracks, die-related defects, and process parameters.

· Develop and implement quality standards, inspection plans, SOPs, control plans, and process monitoring systems.

· Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, product specifications, and applicable quality standards.

· Drive implementation of 7 QC Tools, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis.

· Monitor incoming material inspection, in-process quality, PDI (Pre-Dispatch Inspection), and final quality inspection.

· Analyze rejection, rework, scrap, and customer complaints; implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce quality losses.

· Lead internal, external, supplier, and customer audits; ensure timely closure of non-conformities.

· Coordinate with Production, PPC, NPD, Engineering,



and suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve process capability.

· Establish quality KPIs, conduct periodic reviews, and drive continuous improvement through Kaizen, 5 Why, and CAPA.

· Lead, train, and develop the Quality Control team to strengthen inspection practices and quality awareness.

1. Required Technical Skills

· Strong hands-on experience in forging line quality control and hand tools manufacturing. · In-depth knowledge of 7 QC Tools, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and FMEA.

· Expertise in PDI, final inspection, incoming inspection, and in-process quality control.

· Knowledge of GD&T;, engineering drawings, dimensional inspection, gauges, and measuring instruments.

· Strong understanding of root cause analysis, CAPA, 8D, process validation, and defect prevention.

· Experience in quality audits, customer complaint handling, supplier quality management, and ISO 9001 quality systems.

· Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.

1. Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have 15–25 years of relevant experience, preferably in hand tools, forging, or engineering manufacturing, with substantial experience leading quality operations and managing forging-line quality issues. The candidate must demonstrate strong technical expertise, customer-focused quality management, team leadership, and a proven track record of reducing rejection and improving product quality. Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹110,000.00 per month
