1. Job Summary

Global Electrical & Controls Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a responsible and proactive Safety Engineer to ensure safe working practices across electrical panel manufacturing, installation, testing, commissioning, and project execution activities. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting inspections, identifying workplace hazards, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and company policies.
1. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Electrical & Site Safety

- Ensure safe working practices during electrical panel installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Monitor electrical isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO), earthing, and permit-to-work procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by employees, technicians, subcontractors, and site workers.
- Supervise safety precautions during work on or near electrical equipment and live electrical installations.
- Verify that appropriate barricading, warning signs, and restricted-access arrangements are in place.

B. Factory & Manufacturing Safety
- Conduct routine safety inspections in fabrication, assembly, wiring, testing, and dispatch areas.
- Identify hazards related to cutting, drilling, grinding, welding, material handling, and lifting operations.
- Ensure safe operation of machinery, tools, lifting equipment, and material-handling devices.
- Check fire extinguishers, emergency exits, first-aid facilities, and other emergency arrangements.
- Ensure safe storage and handling of electrical components, sheet metal, paints, and other materials.

C. Project Site Safety Management
- Conduct site inspections before and during electrical installation activities.
- Prepare and communicate Job Safety Analyses (JSA), risk assessments,



and method statements as required.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and client safety teams.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety induction sessions for workers.
- Monitor work-at-height activities, lifting operations, hot work, and other high-risk activities.
- Ensure compliance with client-specific safety requirements at project sites.

D. Safety Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain safety inspection reports, incident registers, training records, and PPE records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
- Record unsafe acts and conditions and follow up on corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe incidents and recommend preventive measures.
- Support internal and client safety audits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian occupational safety requirements and relevant electrical safety rules.

E. Training & Emergency Preparedness
- Conduct safety awareness sessions for factory and site personnel.
- Train employees on electrical hazards, fire prevention, emergency response, and protected material handling.
- Ensure emergency procedures are displayed and communicated.
- Coordinate mock drills and verify emergency equipment readiness.

1. Qualification & Experience

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
- Diploma or certification in Health & Safety Management.
- Relevant experience in industrial safety, construction safety, electrical projects, or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of electrical safety, PPE,



risk assessment, incident reporting, and permit-to-work systems.
- Experience in commercial building projects, data centres, hospitals, or electrical installation projects will be preferred.

- Ability to maintain safety documentation and prepare reports.
- Practical understanding of electrical and industrial safety.
- Ability to conduct inspections, toolbox talks, and safety training.
- Discipline, accountability, and a proactive approach to accident prevention.

1. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Number of safety incidents and near misses.
- Completion rate of scheduled safety inspections.
- PPE compliance across factory and project sites.
- Timely closure of identified safety observations.
- Completion of toolbox talks and safety inductions.
- Timely submission and accuracy of safety reports.
- Compliance with client and company safety procedures.

1. Working Conditions

- Work at the manufacturing facility and project sites as required.
- Regular site visits and coordination with project execution teams.
- Compliance with company working hours, site schedules, and safety procedures.
- Use of appropriate PPE in designated work areas.

1. Authority & Accountability

The Safety Engineer is authorised to report unsafe conditions, recommend corrective measures, and escalate serious safety risks to management. Work presenting an immediate danger must be stopped or suspended through the applicable site procedure until it is made safe. Primary Objective: To prevent workplace accidents, protect employees and visitors, maintain regulatory and client safety compliance, and support the safe and timely execution of GECPL's electrical manufacturing and project activities.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
