Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining service standards, ensuring guest satisfaction, monitoring operational performance, and ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant functioning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Restaurant Operations

- Manage daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen, service team, and management.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, service, hygiene, and presentation.
- Monitor table turnover, service efficiency, and overall restaurant performance.

2. Team Management

- Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff, including captains, stewards, hosts, and other service team members.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and manage shift allocation.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and on-the-job training of team members.

3. Guest Experience

- Ensure excellent customer service and a positive dining experience.
- Handle customer complaints, feedback, and service recovery professionally.
- Maintain strong relationships with regular guests and encourage repeat business.
- Ensure that the restaurant's service standards and brand guidelines are consistently followed.

4. Inventory and Cost Control

- Monitor food and beverage inventory, stock levels, and requisitions.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and procurement teams to minimize wastage.
- Ensure proper storage, stock rotation, and control of pilferage.
- Monitor operational expenses and implement cost-control measures.

5. Hygiene, Safety and Compliance

- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness across the dining area, kitchen,



washrooms, and other restaurant spaces.
- Ensure adherence to applicable statutory requirements, licenses, and internal SOPs.
- Maintain operational records, checklists, and incident reports.

6. Sales and Performance

- Monitor daily sales, customer footfall, average order value, and other operational KPIs.
- Work towards achieving revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales, customer retention, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare daily operational reports and share performance updates with management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- Graduate in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in restaurant operations, preferably with experience managing a restaurant or a large service team.
- Robust knowledge of restaurant service standards, food safety, inventory management, and cost control.
- Experience in staff scheduling, team supervision, and customer complaint handling.
- Familiarity with POS systems, billing procedures, and basic operational reporting.
