About the RoleWe are hiring an experienced Accountant to manage accounting and reconciliation activities for a leading Current Zealand retail brand.

The ideal candidate must have a strong accounting background, hands-on experience in financial reconciliations, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates with experience in retail stores, supermarkets, FMCG, or inventory-driven businesses will be preferred.

The role requires someone who can independently manage accounting tasks, identify discrepancies, prepare accurate reports, and coordinate effectively with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform bank reconciliation, sales reconciliation, and payment reconciliation.
- Reconcile daily store sales, cash transactions, card payments, and POS reports.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice verification, and payment tracking.
- Manage inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, stock adjustments, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Investigate discrepancies in sales, payments, inventory, and accounting records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Support month-end closing and maintain accurate accounting documentation.
- Assist with GST, tax documentation, and compliance-related activities as required.
- Coordinate with finance, retail operations, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting queries.
- Maintain internal controls, documentation standards, and reporting deadlines.





Required Qualifications and Skills
- Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reconciliation.
- Practical experience in bank reconciliation, sales reconciliation, and invoice management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including formulas, lookups, and data analysis.
- Experience with accounting software ZERO or ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to coordinate professionally with teams and meet reporting deadlines.

Preferred Experience
- Retail accounting, store accounting, supermarket accounting, or multi-store accounting.
- POS reconciliation, cash management, and card settlement reconciliation.
- Inventory accounting, stock valuation, and inventory discrepancy management.
- Experience working with international clients or overseas finance teams.
- Familiarity with New Zealand GST and accounting processes.

Salary: ₹3,00,000–₹5,00,000 per annum, depending on relevant experience and skills and not negotiable.
