- Develop current formulations for hair-care and skin-care products, including shampoos, conditioners, hair oils, serums, creams, lotions, face washes, and related products.

- Research new ingredients, technologies, and market trends to develop innovative products.

- Improve existing formulations in terms of quality, performance, cost, and stability.

Formulation &

- Testing

- Conduct laboratory trials, pilot batches, and scale-up activities for new products.

- Perform stability testing, compatibility studies, and other relevant product evaluations.

- Evaluate raw materials, ingredients, and finished products for suitability and performance.

- Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing-related issues.

New Product Development (NPD)

- Coordinate with Marketing, Production, Quality Assurance, and Procurement teams for new product launches.

- Develop product samples and prototypes according to customer requirements and market needs.

- Finalize product specifications, formulation details, and manufacturing processes.

- Support commercialization and technology transfer from laboratory to production scale.





Regulatory Compliance &

- Documentation

- Ensure formulations and product documentation comply with applicable cosmetics regulations and quality standards.

- Maintain formulation records, laboratory reports, testing data, specifications, and product development documentation.

- Support product safety assessments, claim substantiation, and regulatory documentation as applicable.

Cost Optimization &

- Quality Improvement

- Identify cost-effective raw materials and alternative ingredients without compromising product quality.

- Work with Procurement and Production teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and product consistency.

- Investigate customer complaints and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Team Management

- Lead and guide the R&D; team, including chemists and laboratory personnel.

- Plan research projects, allocate responsibilities, and monitor development timelines.

- Establish laboratory practices, testing procedures, and documentation standards.
