Position: Garment Quality Checker

Location: Mumbai (Regular travel to garment manufacturing units PAN India)

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a responsible, confident and hands-on Garment Quality Checker who can manage quality from fabric inspection to final dispatch.

This is a field-based role involving regular factory visits, production monitoring, inspections, identifying defects, coordinating corrections and ensuring quality and delivery timelines are maintained.

If you take ownership of quality and can take decisions at factory level, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Fabric & Pre-Production

- Inspect fabric for defects, shrinkage, shade variation, GSM and quality parameters.
- Check PP samples for measurements, construction, trims, labels and workmanship.
- Identify and communicate issues before bulk production begins.
- TOP samples , Pilot Run, T&A.;
- CAD Paper Pattern Development & Co-ordination.

Production

- Conduct regular factory visits and inline/midline inspections.
- Check stitching, measurements, construction, finishing and workmanship.
- Identify defects and ensure timely corrections.
- Monitor recurring issues and corrective actions.

Final Inspection & Dispatch

- Conduct FRI as per defined AQL standards.
- Check measurements, appearance, finishing, packing and labelling.
- Approve/reject goods based on quality standards.
- Hold dispatches and escalate major quality concerns to management/HOD.

Reporting & Follow-up

- Follow T&A;, inspection reports, defect records and factory-wise quality records.




- Track CAPA and keep a check on pending quality issues.
- Monitor production and delivery timelines as per T&A.;
- Ensure OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery without compromising quality.

Experience Required
- Experience in men's apparel categories such as shirts, kurtas, trousers, jackets, blazers, waistcoats, shackets, etc.
- Strong knowledge of technicals - garment construction, fabrics, stitching, finishing and measurements.
- Understanding of AQL and garment inspection procedures.
- Strong reporting and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and take quick decisions at factory level.

Reimbursements & travel allowance will be provided.

Quality should never be compromised for delivery timelines.

The selected candidate will have the authority to:

- Stop production when major quality issues are identified.
- Hold dispatches where quality standards are not met.
- Escalate critical concerns directly to management/HOD.
- Ensure corrective actions are completed before production moves ahead.
