Role: QA Engineer (Automation + Manual)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on QA Engineer with 5+ years of experience in manual and automation testing to help assure the quality of the ZEISS VisioGen platform, including HiApp (the Optometrist-facing operations application), the Customer Portal, the Operations Portal, and the AI chatbot engine. You will design and run tests, build automation, and work closely with developers to ship reliable releases in a healthcare, patient-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and execute test cases for functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web applications and APIs.
- Build, maintain, and extend UI and API automation suites and run them in CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate integrations with CRMs, messaging channels, and third-party services, including webhook and API behavior.
- Test chatbot and AI-driven conversational flows for accuracy, consistency, and regressions.
- Log, track, and verify defects with clear reproduction steps; support root cause analysis.
- Participate in release readiness checks and regression cycles.
- Maintain test documentation and traceability for requirements and releases.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and support teams for timely and quality delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:





- 5+ years of experience in software testing, covering both manual and automation testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools for web UI and REST APIs, such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Postman.
- Solid understanding of test design techniques, the defect lifecycle, and regression strategy.
- Experience running automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
- Experience working in Agile teams.
- Clear written and verbal communication.

Nice to Have:

- Experience in healthcare, medtech, or another regulated workplace.
- Experience testing AI/LLM-based or conversational applications.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Familiarity with Azure-hosted applications and log analysis tools.
- ISTQB or equivalent certification.
