Social Refuel is an event management and experiential solutions company based in Mumbai, creating engaging experiences and original intellectual properties (IPs).

We are developing a large-scale finance-focused conference, exhibition and experiential platform connecting financial knowledge, investing, entrepreneurship, fintech innovation and the broader financial ecosystem.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, research-oriented and proactive Finance Research & Conference Programming Associate to support the development of our upcoming finance-focused IP on a project basis.

The role involves industry research, conference benchmarking, programme development, speaker mapping, skilled outreach and project coordination in close collaboration with IP leadership.

Key Responsibilities1. Finance & Industry Research

- Research the Indian finance, fintech, investment and financial services ecosystem.
- Track developments across banking, digital payments, lending, wealth management, insurance, taxation, mutual funds, stock markets and financial technology.
- Map financial institutions, fintech companies, investment platforms, startups and industry associations.
- Compile industry insights, credible statistics and research findings into structured reports.

2. Conference Benchmarking & Market Intelligence

- Research comparable finance, fintech, investment and business conferences in India and internationally.
- Analyse event formats, programme structures, audience profiles, speaker line-ups and participating organisations.
- Identify emerging themes, programme gaps and opportunities to differentiate the IP.
- Prepare benchmarking reports and recommendations for strategic planning.

3. Conference Programme & Agenda Development

- Develop conference themes, programme tracks and proposed agendas.
- Research session formats such as keynotes, fireside chats, expert panels, debates and workshops.
- Map sessions to audience needs, relevant experts and desired learning outcomes.




- Refine programme proposals based on feedback from IP leadership.

4. Speaker Research & Outreach

- Identify relevant founders, investors, economists, fund managers, financial educators, banking professionals and fintech leaders.
- Prepare detailed speaker profiles and map candidates to programme tracks.
- Draft personalised invitations and manage approved professional outreach.
- Track responses, follow-ups and confirmations, and coordinate introductory meetings.
- Collect speaker biographies, photographs, designations and briefing information.

5. Partnerships & Ecosystem Mapping

- Identify potential knowledge partners, financial institutions, fintech companies and industry bodies.
- Prepare organisation profiles and background research for partnership discussions.
- Map relevant professional associations, educational institutions, investor communities and business networks.

6. Project Coordination & Documentation

- Maintain research databases, benchmarking reports, speaker trackers and programme documents.
- Track project milestones, deliverables and programme revisions.
- Coordinate information handovers between IP leadership, marketing, partnerships and production teams.
- Verify research sources and flag outdated or unsupported financial claims.

What We Are Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Banking, Financial Markets or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance research, industry research, conference programming, business events, financial services or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the finance, fintech, investment or financial services ecosystem.
- Proven research, analytical thinking, information verification and report-writing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with senior stakeholders.
- Experience preparing research reports, benchmarking studies, databases or structured programme documents.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills,



with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.
- Familiarity with financial markets, investment products, industry events or finance certifications is an advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
