Job Summary

We are looking for a technically competent Senior Procurement Officer/Manager to oversee purchasing for our carbon black manufacturing plant, ensuring material quality, cost efficiency, and timely availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage purchasing of industrial spares, MRO materials, consumables, machinery, and plant equipment.

- Review technical specifications, drawings, BOMs, and material requirements with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.

- Handle requirements related to mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and utilities.

- Develop and evaluate vendors, OEMs, and alternative suppliers.

- Conduct technical-commercial evaluations, negotiate pricing and payment terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

- Monitor order execution, delivery schedules, critical spares, and inventory requirements to avoid production disruptions.

- Coordinate with the Ludhiana plant, Stores, Finance, and Accounts for material receipt, invoice processing, and issue resolution.

- Maintain procurement MIS, vendor performance records, cost-saving reports, and compliance documentation.





- Undertake periodic visits to the Ludhiana plant as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- 8–12 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or process industries.

- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.

- Strong technical understanding of industrial equipment, engineering spares, and maintenance materials.

- Experience in vendor development, commercial negotiations, cost control, and technical evaluation.

- Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement MIS.

Industry Preference

- Carbon black manufacturing experience is a robust advantage.

- Candidates from petrochemicals, rubber, tyre manufacturing, chemicals, or similar process industries are preferred.

- Ability to independently understand plant requirements and coordinate effectively with technical teams.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
