About Tagent
Tagent is a storytelling and podcast production company that runs branded shows end to end for its clients. From guest sourcing and recording to editing and publishing, our in-house team turns each client's podcast into content their audience actually wants to listen to. We're growing rapid and building the team that makes great shows happen.
Tagent is hiring a Podcast Lead to bring the right guests onto our clients' shows, represent Tagent on every recording, and own the calendar from first outreach to published episode.
About the roleEvery Tagent podcast is a conversation with a leader worth listening to. As Podcast Lead, you'll make sure each one is well prepared, well run, and remembered by the guest as one of the best interviews they've done.
You'll find and book the right guests for each client's show, host recording sessions, prepare guests, and guide every episode from booking to release. Our in-house editing, content and client teams handle post-production and strategy, so you can focus fully on guests and the show calendar.
You'll know it's working when guests recommend the show to their peers, every recording starts on time, and every episode ships when promised.
Key responsibilities
Episode research and planning
- Research topics, guests and their companies ahead of every episode
- Develop episode concepts and plan the story arc of each conversation
- Prepare interview questions, run-of-show and scripts for intros, outros and segments
On the call (the face of Tagent)
- Host episodes and lead interviews as Tagent's representative; open each session, brief the guest, and close it professionally
- Run a 10–15 minute pre-call with each guest: format, flow, talking points, tech check, what to avoid
- Keep conversations engaging and inclusive, giving every guest room to share their best thinking
- Ask sharp follow-up questions that draw out stories and insights
- Keep recordings on time and on topic; step in smoothly when audio, video or the conversation goes off track
- Capture key moments, timestamps and clip ideas during the call for the editing team
Guest sourcing and outreach
- Research and shortlist the right guests for each client's show: founders, CXOs, marketing and industry leaders who fit its audience and goals
- Get guest lists signed off by the client before reaching out
- Run outbound outreach through LinkedIn, email and warm introductions,
with personalised pitches that earn replies
- Follow up persistently and courteously until there's a clear yes or no
- Keep a healthy bench of confirmed and prospective guests for every show
Scheduling and guest management
- Coordinate recording slots with guests, their assistants and our internal team across time zones
- Send invites, briefing documents, question sets and reminders; confirm 24 hours before each call
- Handle reschedules and no-shows without friction, and keep guests warm between recording and release
- Collect guest assets (bio, headshot, links) and approvals before publishing
Publishing oversight
- Oversee recording sessions and coordinate audio and video production
- Work with editors on sound quality, pacing and final cuts
- Track each episode through edit, review, approvals and release, and follow up with owners to keep every release on schedule
- Manage the publishing schedule across platforms, and flag delays early with a proposed fix
- Check final episodes, titles, descriptions and show notes before they go live
- Share published links with guests and nudge them to promote the episode
Tracker and reporting
- Own the podcast tracker: guests, recording dates, stage, owner, due dates, release dates, links
- Send a short weekly status update: recorded, in edit, scheduled, published, at risk
- Maintain a pipeline of future guests and a library of briefs, templates and checklists
Audience growth and content strategy
- Track listener feedback, comments and episode performance, and share what's working
- Support audience growth through guest promotion, clips and cross-promotion
- Contribute ideas to each show's content strategy, formats and series
- Help shape cross-channel storytelling across newsletters, social and short-form video
How you'll work with the teamYou'll partner closely with our editing, design, distribution and client-success specialists. They bring each episode to life after recording; you keep the whole process connected and on schedule. Must-have qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in any field
- Experience: 2–4 years in a client- or guest-facing role, such as podcast or video production coordination, anchoring or hosting, PR or corporate communications, agency client servicing, event and speaker management, or outbound sales development
- Outreach: proven cold outreach on LinkedIn and email; can write a personalised message that gets a busy senior leader to say yes
- On-camera evidence: at least some recorded work you can show (hosted episodes, interviews, panels, anchoring, webinars)
- Communication: excellent spoken and written English; clear, warm, confident on video calls with senior executives
- Business fluency: comfortable talking to founders, CXOs and marketing leaders with ease and credibility; basic understanding of B2B marketing and how companies grow
- Organisation: proven ability to manage many moving parts and deadlines at once, with zero dropped follow-ups
- Availability: flexible for early or late calls to suit guests in other time zones
Presence and polishBecause you represent Tagent to every guest, how you show up matters as much as what you do.
- Executive presence: composed, articulate and credible on camera; well-groomed and dressed appropriately for professional video
- Judgement: knows when to speak, when to stay quiet, and how to redirect a guest politely without making it awkward
- Discretion: handles confidential guest and client information carefully; never overpromises on Tagent's behalf
- Warmth: builds quick rapport so guests open up and want to come back or refer others
- Calm under pressure: stays unflustered when tech fails, a guest runs late, or the conversation turns sensitive
- Ownership: follows through without reminders; raises problems early rather than late
- Brand sense: understands Tagent's tone and positioning and reflects it in every message and call
- Professional digital footprint: a credible LinkedIn profile; guests will look you up
