We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Plastic Product Designer to develop, design, and improve plastic products and components. The candidate will be responsible for preparing 3D models, 2D engineering drawings, and product designs suitable for plastic injection moulding and other plastic manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop plastic products and components according to customer requirements.
- Prepare product designs suitable for injection moulding and other plastic processing methods, as applicable.
- Design products considering material selection, wall thickness, draft angles, ribs, bosses, and shrinkage.
- Coordinate with tool room, mould design, production, and quality control teams.
- Review product feasibility and identify potential manufacturing issues.
- Modify and improve existing product designs based on customer feedback and production requirements.
- Support prototype development, sample inspection, and product testing.
- Ensure designs meet quality standards, dimensional requirements, and customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot design-related problems during mould trials and production.





Required Qualifications

- Post Diploma in Product Design, Tool and Die Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in plastic product design or plastic manufacturing is preferred.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of plastic materials and their properties.
- Understanding of injection moulding and plastic product design principles.
- Knowledge of 2D drawings, 3D modelling, GD&T;, and dimensional tolerances.
- Understanding of mould design, shrinkage, draft angles, and product manufacturability.
- Basic knowledge of quality inspection and engineering documentation.
