About the Role

URC Construction Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Planning Engineer for a commercial hospital building project in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in construction planning, project scheduling, progress monitoring, and coordination with site execution teams to ensure timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, baseline programs, and construction work plans.
- Develop weekly and monthly look-ahead schedules to monitor project activities.
- Track actual progress against planned schedules and identify delays or deviations.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and other departments to achieve project milestones.
- Monitor critical path activities and recommend corrective actions to minimize project delays.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and planning dashboards.
- Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and resource requirements in line with project schedules.
- Conduct schedule variance analysis and assist in developing recovery plans.




- Coordinate with billing and quantity surveying teams to align work progress with project schedules.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide updates on progress, constraints, and schedule risks.
- Maintain project planning records and documentation as per project requirements.

Required Skills and Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in construction planning, preferably in commercial buildings, hospitals, or large-scale building projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project (MS Project).
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project scheduling techniques.
- Experience in progress monitoring, critical path analysis, S-curves, and schedule reporting.
- Valuable analytical, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work at the project site in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
