Job Responsibilities
- Perform phacoemulsification (Phaco) cataract surgeries independently.
- Evaluate patients for cataract surgery and assess surgical suitability.
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative examinations and patient counselling.
- Manage routine cataract cases and handle post-operative complications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and surgical documentation.
- Coordinate with optometrists, OT staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain patient safety standards.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in phacoemulsification surgery.
- Good clinical and surgical skills in ophthalmology.
- Ability to manage cataract patients independently.
- Strong communication and patient counselling skills.
- Valid medical registration with the relevant medical council.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidates with independent phaco surgery experience.
- Valuable surgical outcomes and patient management skills.
- Immediate joiners preferred, if applicable.
