About Sri Varada Electricals

Sri Varada Electricals is an electrical contracting company based in Bengaluru, executing electrical works for large residential and commercial projects. We are looking for an experienced, responsible and result-oriented Operations Manager to independently manage project execution, manpower, measurements, billing, procurement and client coordination.

The selected candidate will initially take charge of a major residential electrical contracting project comprising approximately 550 apartments, and subsequently manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Execution

- Independently manage electrical contracting projects from planning to completion.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly work schedules and ensure timely execution.
- Coordinate with builder representatives, consultants, site engineers and supervisors.
- Monitor work quality, productivity, safety and project deadlines.
- Identify delays, resolve site issues and ensure efficient utilisation of resources.

2. Labour and Manpower Management

- Plan and allocate electricians, helpers, supervisors and subcontractors according to project requirements.
- Monitor daily labour attendance, productivity and work output.
- Ensure adequate manpower is available at each work front.
- Control labour costs, idle time, overtime and rework.
- Hold supervisors accountable for daily targets and progress reporting.

3. Measurements and Billing

- Maintain accurate floor-wise, block-wise and item-wise measurements.
- Verify executed quantities against BOQs, approved drawings and contract rates.
- Prepare and coordinate RA bills, measurement sheets, extra-item claims and variation statements.




- Ensure completed work is measured, documented and billed without delay.
- Coordinate with client representatives for joint measurements, bill certification and resolution of billing discrepancies.
- Maintain records of bills submitted, approved, certified, deductions and outstanding payments.

4. Material and Procurement Management

- Prepare material requirement schedules based on project progress.
- Coordinate timely procurement and delivery of electrical materials.
- Monitor material consumption, stock, wastage and site inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors and ensure purchases remain within approved budgets.

5. Commercial and Client Coordination

- Coordinate with builders' project managers, commercial teams, consultants and other contractors.
- Follow up on pending approvals, measurements, RA bills and payments.
- Identify additional work, rate variations and commercial risks.
- Monitor project expenditure, cost overruns and profitability.
- Maintain proper documentation and escalate major contractual issues promptly.

6. Team Management and Reporting

- Lead site engineers, supervisors, billing personnel and subcontractors.
- Establish clear responsibilities, reporting procedures and performance targets.
- Submit daily progress reports and weekly project reviews to the proprietor.
- Resolve routine operational problems independently, without requiring constant intervention.
- Build a systematic operating process that can be replicated across multiple projects.

Candidate Requirements




- 12–18 years of relevant experience in electrical contracting or MEP contracting.
- Strong hands-on experience in large residential apartment, high-rise or commercial building projects.
- Proven experience in labour management, site execution, measurements, RA billing and commercial coordination.
- Good knowledge of electrical BOQs, drawings, quantity estimation, material planning and contract rates.
- Ability to manage multiple project sites and lead teams independently.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, negotiation and communication skills.
- Commercially aware, organised, accountable and capable of taking ownership of project outcomes.

Candidates with experience working directly for electrical contractors will be preferred over candidates whose experience is limited to design or maintenance.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
