Role Overview

Decofurn Multisolutions Management Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team in Nagpur. The candidate will assist in the installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.

This opportunity is suitable for freshers and candidates with up to one year of experience who have a good understanding of networking fundamentals and are eager to develop their technical skills while working with enterprise IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in configuring, monitoring, and maintaining LAN and WAN networks.
- Support the installation and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues and escalate complex problems when required.
- Understand and work with IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and basic routing and switching.
- Assist in network device configuration, firmware upgrades, and routine maintenance.
- Monitor network availability, performance, and connectivity.
- Support basic firewall rules, access control lists (ACLs), NAT, and VPN troubleshooting under supervision.
- Work with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, and ICMP.
- Use basic troubleshooting tools such as Ping, Traceroute, and Wireshark.
- Maintain network documentation, IP address records, configuration backups, and incident logs.
- Coordinate with senior network engineers and IT infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
- Follow network security policies, standard operating procedures, and change management processes.

Required Technical Skills





- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts and the OSI and TCP/IP models.
- Knowledge of IPv4 addressing, subnetting, LAN, WAN, and WLAN.
- Understanding of routers, switches, VLANs, and basic routing and switching.
- Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, TCP/UDP, and common network protocols.
- Basic knowledge of Cisco or equivalent networking devices.
- Understanding of network troubleshooting methodologies.
- Willingness to learn enterprise networking, network security, and infrastructure management.

Educational Qualifications

- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- BCA / B.Sc. in Computer Science or IT.
- Diploma in Networking, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

- CCNA certification or completion of CCNA training.
- Practical experience with Cisco Packet Tracer or networking labs.
- Basic knowledge of firewall technologies and VPNs.
- Internship, academic project, or hands-on lab experience in networking.
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
