Job Summary

We are looking for a technically proficient Network Engineer with hands-on experience in network infrastructure management, routing and switching, firewall administration, network security, and advanced troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high network availability, optimizing network performance, resolving complex connectivity issues, and supporting network infrastructure enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN,WAN, WLAN, and VPN environments.

● Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols, including VLANs, STP,EtherChannel, inter-VLAN routing, static routing, and energetic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.

● Administer and troubleshoot network devices, including managed switches, routers, firewalls,wireless access points, and network controllers.

● Configure and manage firewall policies, ACLs, NAT, site-to-site VPNs, remote-access VPNs,and network access controls.

● Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, ICMP, subnetting, and routing tables.

● Monitor network health, bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, interface errors, and device availability using network monitoring and diagnostic tools.

● Perform packet-level analysis using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and command-line network utilities to identify and resolve complex network issues.

● Manage network incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurring issues.

● Analyze network performance metrics and optimize routing paths,



bandwidth utilization, and network configurations.

● Execute firmware upgrades, configuration backups, patching, change management, and network device lifecycle maintenance.

● Support network capacity planning, infrastructure expansion, network migrations, and high-availability implementations.

● Maintain network topology diagrams, IP address management records, configuration baselines, and technical documentation.

● Implement network security hardening, segmentation, access restrictions, and compliance with organizational security standards.

● Collaborate with infrastructure, system administration, cybersecurity, and IT support teams to resolve cross-functional technical issues

Technical Skills Required

● Networking Fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI Model, IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, CIDR, ARP, ICMP.

● Routing & Switching: VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel, static routing, OSPF,

BGP.

● Network Infrastructure: Routers, Layer 2/Layer 3 switches, wireless access points,

controllers, and network gateways.

● Network Security: Firewalls, ACLs, NAT/PAT, IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, network segmentation,

and security policies.

● Network Services: DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, and IP address management.

● Troubleshooting Tools: Wireshark, tcpdump, ping, traceroute/tracert, nslookup, and netstat.

● Monitoring & Management: Network monitoring platforms, syslog analysis, SNMP monitoring, and performance diagnostics.

● IT Operations: Incident management, root cause analysis, change management,

configuration management, and technical documentation.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹49,000.00 per month
