Role Summary The Motion Graphic Artist is responsible for capturing, creating, and shaping the school's visual identity. You will photograph and film school life, edit videos, and design print and digital material so that the school's brand looks consistent, qualified, and engaging across admissions campaigns, social media, the website, events, and internal communication.

Key Responsibilities

Photography

- Photograph school events, assemblies, sports days, annual functions, classroom activities, campus, and facilities.
- Take portraits of students, staff, and leadership for ID cards, yearbooks, the website, and publications.
- Cover admissions campaigns, open days, and parent events with high-quality, usable images.
- Edit, retouch, and organize images; maintain a labelled and backed-up photo library.

Videography and Video Editing

- Shoot and edit event highlights, school promotional films, admissions videos, student achievement stories, and short social media reels.
- Produce interviews, testimonials, and explainer or campaign videos with clean audio, subtitles, and appropriate music.
- Create motion graphics, titles, and animations for presentations, events, and announcements.
- Deliver videos in the right formats for the website, YouTube, WhatsApp, and social platforms.

Graphic Design and Branding

- Design and maintain brand assets including the logo, colour palette, typography, templates, and brand guidelines.
- Create social media posts, banners, posters, brochures, prospectuses, newsletters, circulars, and invitations.
- Design event material such as backdrops, standees, certificates,



stage branding, signage, and merchandise.
- Support the yearbook, school magazine, and annual report layout and design.
- Ensure all material follows the school's brand identity and approved tone.

Digital and Social Media Support

- Work with the marketing team to plan and publish content calendars across social platforms.
- Update images, banners, and videos on the school website and digital notice boards.
- Track which content performs best and adjust creative direction accordingly.

Operations and Compliance

- Manage camera, lighting, audio, and editing equipment; report maintenance needs and suggest upgrades.
- Follow child-safety and privacy rules: obtain parental consent before using student images publicly and handle media responsibly.
- Archive final files and project assets in an organized, shared system.
- Meet deadlines for time-sensitive events and campaigns.

Qualifications and Experience

- Degree or diploma in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Film and Video Production, Mass Communication, Photography, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- A strong portfolio showing photography, video editing, and design work is required.

Skills and Competencies

- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and After Effects (or equivalents such as Canva, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro).
- Skilled with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting, gimbals, and audio equipment; drone operation is a plus.
- Strong sense of composition, colour, typography, and storytelling.
- Basic understanding of social media formats, branding, and print production.
- Ability to work on several projects at once and deliver on tight timelines.
- Good communication, teamwork, and openness to feedback.
- Comfort working around children with patience and professionalism.
