About the role

We are seeking an organised and client-focused Mortgage Broker Assistant to support an Australian mortgage broker. You will help manage client enquiries, collect and organise loan application information, maintain CRM records and coordinate applications with lenders.

You will work under the direction of the Australian broker. The broker will remain responsible for assessing a client’s needs, making lending recommendations and providing any regulated credit assistance.

Key responsibilities

- Respond to client enquiries by phone, email and approved messaging channels, using prepared scripts and procedures.
- Schedule appointments and send document checklists and follow-up reminders.
- Collect, check and organise supporting documents, such as payslips, bank statements, identification and property information.
- Enter client information accurately into the CRM and prepare application files for broker review.
- Assist with data entry into lender or aggregator platforms where authorised.
- Track application progress, valuations, conditions, approvals and settlement dates.
- Follow up lenders, solicitors, conveyancers and other service providers on administrative matters.
- Prepare file notes, task lists, document summaries and draft communications for review.
- Keep records complete, accurate and up to date.
- Escalate incomplete information, client concerns, complaints, hardship disclosures, suspected fraud or unusual transactions promptly to the Australian broker.
- Follow the business’s privacy, information security, record-keeping and quality-control procedures.

Role boundaries This is an administrative support role. You will not:
- Recommend or compare loan products for a client.
- Assess which loan, lender or credit product is suitable for a client.
- Tell a client whether they are eligible for a loan or guarantee an outcome.
- Negotiate loan terms or provide credit advice.




- Make representations or decisions on behalf of the broker or lender.
- Request or retain a client’s banking passwords, one-time codes or online banking credentials.

Refer any client question about lending recommendations, suitability, eligibility, approval, loan structure or credit advice to the Australian broker.

Skills and experience

Essential

- Experience in mortgage processing, banking operations, loan administration, financial services support or a similar role.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
- Confident phone and email communication.
- Good organisation and follow-up skills, including the ability to manage several applications at once.
- Competence with Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets and CRM systems.
- A professional approach to handling confidential information.

Desirable

- Experience supporting Australian mortgage brokers or working with Australian lenders and aggregators.
- Familiarity with residential home-loan documentation and application workflows.
- Experience with broker CRMs, loan lodgement systems or document management platforms.
- Hindi or Punjabi language skills.

- Comfortable following documented procedures and asking questions when information is unclear.
- Calm and courteous when following up clients or managing time-sensitive requests.
- Able to work independently while staying closely connected with a remote Australian team.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
