Role Description The Merchandiser role at Padam Creations is a full-time, on-site position based in Jaipur. The Merchandiser will coordinate between clients, design, production, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure smooth execution of orders from initial enquiry to final dispatch. Daily responsibilities include handling buyer communication, understanding technical specifications, preparing costings, tracking samples and approvals,



and monitoring production timelines to meet delivery commitments.

The role involves working closely with fabric and trim sourcing teams, maintaining order documentation, managing T&A; (time and action) plans, and resolving production or quality-related issues. The Merchandiser will also analyze order performance, support new product development for fashion collections and private-label lines, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and client experience.

Qualifications

- Strong merchandising and product development skills, including order management, T&A; planning, and coordination from sampling to bulk production.
- Experience in fabric and trim sourcing for woven garments, with understanding of cottons, linens, sustainable fabrics, and garment construction details.
- Proficiency in communication and negotiation, with the ability to manage buyer correspondence, clarify technical requirements, and build long-term client relationships.
- Sound knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes, quality control practices, and export-oriented documentation or compliance will be beneficial.
- Ability to work with production, cutting, and finishing teams to monitor timelines, resolve issues, and maintain consistent quality standards.
- Robust analytical and organizational skills for costing, order tracking, data management, and reporting to management and clients.
- Comfort with using basic office and merchandising tools (e.g., spreadsheets, order management software) and maintaining accurate records.
