Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically competent MEP Consultant / Team Lead to lead and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design and consultancy services for commercial, corporate, residential, hospitality, and other building projects. The candidate will be responsible for design development, technical reviews, multidisciplinary coordination, team management, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality engineering solutions in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage MEP design and consultancy activities across multiple projects.
- Review and approve HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and other relevant MEP design deliverables.
- Develop design concepts, calculations, specifications, BOQs, tender documents, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve design conflicts.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverable schedules.
- Conduct technical reviews of drawings, calculations, equipment selections, and design reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable NBC, IS standards, fire and life safety requirements, and other relevant local regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and design team members.
- Participate in client meetings, design presentations, technical discussions, and project review meetings.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, technical proposals, and contractor queries, as required.
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency,



sustainable design, and lifecycle cost optimisation.
- Monitor project quality, address design issues, and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
- Support the project team during site visits, installation reviews, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting, wherever required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- A postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification will be an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of MEP design principles, engineering calculations, building services, and coordination processes.

Required Experience and Skills

- 8–15 years of relevant experience in MEP design consultancy, building services, or a similar role.
- Experience in leading engineering teams and handling multiple projects independently.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems, with expertise aligned to the candidate's discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP; experience with BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of applicable Indian codes, design standards, and statutory requirements.
- Strong technical, analytical, communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage client expectations, resolve technical challenges, and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience with commercial offices, corporate campuses, hotels, residential developments, or large-scale building projects.
- Strong client-facing and multidisciplinary coordination capabilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, team leadership, quality control, and project delivery.
