Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ratnagiri for a Marketing AGM (Assistant General Manager) – Boatyard (FRP). The role involves leading marketing and business development activities for FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) boats, including market analysis, customer segmentation, and development of go-to-market plans for domestic and international markets.

The Marketing AGM will oversee brand positioning, pricing strategies, tender and bid management, and relationship building with defense,



paramilitary, government, and private sector clients. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with production, design, and quality teams to align product offerings with market needs, preparing proposals and presentations, and tracking sales performance against targets. The role also requires managing a small marketing team, collaborating with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, and representing the boatyard at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in marketing or business development in marine, shipbuilding, boat manufacturing, or heavy engineering sectors, preferably with exposure to FRP products.
- Strong skills in market research, competitive analysis, and strategic planning to identify opportunities in defense, government, and commercial segments.
- Demonstrated ability in client relationship management, key account handling, and negotiation for large projects or tenders.
- Experience in managing bids, tender documentation, and compliance with government procurement processes.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and production teams, with a good understanding of product features, costing, and delivery timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of marketing collateral, presentations, and formal proposals.
- Comfort with data-driven decision-making, sales forecasting, and use of CRM or related tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field;
