Purpose of the role: The Manager - Learning & Development will lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of learning, capability-building, and leadership development initiatives across Tata Steel Foundation. The role will be responsible for identifying organizational and functional capability gaps, creating impactful learning interventions, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and strengthening the qualified and leadership capabilities of employees to advance TSF's mission and organizational effectiveness.

Key Deliverables:

- Develop and implement the Learning & Development strategy aligned with the Foundation's business and social impact objectives.
- Identify organization-wide training needs through capability assessments, performance reviews, stakeholder consultations, and workforce planning discussions.
- Design, curate, and deliver learning interventions covering functional, behavioral, managerial, leadership, and digital competencies.
- Establish and manage annual training calendars, learning budgets, and development plans for employees across locations and thematic areas.




- Partner with internal subject matter experts and external institutions to create high-quality learning opportunities.
- Drive leadership development and succession planning initiatives for critical roles within the organization.
- Monitor training effectiveness through assessment frameworks, feedback mechanisms, learning analytics, and post-training impact evaluations.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, coaching, and mentoring across the Foundation.
- Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and leverage digital tools to enhance learning accessibility, tracking, and reporting.
- Support employee career development through competency mapping, individual development plans (IDPs), and career progression frameworks.
- Build and maintain partnerships with academic institutions, training partners, sector experts, and professional bodies to strengthen organizational capability-building efforts.
- Drive organization development interventions including change management, culture-building, and employee capability enhancement programs.
- Provide periodic MIS, dashboards, and insights on learning outcomes, capability gaps, and talent development metrics to leadership.
