About the RoleLTTS is looking for an experienced Manager – Electrical Product Design to support strategic customers (global OEMs). This role combines customer engagement, technical leadership, and project management in the Power & Utility domain.

Key Responsibilities· Serve as the primary technical contact for key customers in electrical product design.

· Lead design and development for: LV/MV/HV Protection Devices (Switchgears, MCBs, MCCBs, Relays), Transformer & Bus Bar Design, Power Distribution Units, Microgrid Solutions, and Energy Storage.

· Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, ISO standards.

· Understanding of Power System Studies & familiar with advanced tools like ETAP, PSCAD, AutoCAD, ANSYS, PTC, CATIA for modeling and simulation.

· Manage multiple projects and coordinate with internal team for innovative solutions.

· Drive initiatives in Energy Efficiency, Renewable Integration, and Smart Grid Technologies.

· Power Product & Electrical System Design

Ø Design custom electrical products and systems including panels, switchgear, control panels, and protection schemes.

Ø Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, wiring drawings, and layouts as per project requirements.

Ø Ensure designs comply with applicable standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS, etc.).

· Transformer & Switchgear Design

Ø Design and engineer transformers, LV/MV/HV switchgear, and associated protection equipment.

Ø Perform equipment sizing, selection, and specification ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Ø Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for technical clarifications and approvals.

· UPS & Battery System Design

Ø Design right-sized UPS systems and battery banks for critical loads.

Ø Calculate backup time, redundancy (N, N+1, 2N),



and efficiency requirements.

Ø Support uninterrupted power solutions for mission-critical applications.

· Backup Power (DG) System Design

Ø Perform DG sizing calculations based on load profiles and operational needs.

Ø Design DG integration, synchronization, and control systems.

Ø Ensure compliance with safety, emissions, and operational standards.

· AC Power Distribution Design

Ø Design AC power distribution systems including PDU, busway, cabling, protection, and metering.

Ø Develop load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination studies.

Ø Optimize system reliability and maintainability.

· DC Power Distribution Design

Ø Design DC power systems up to 800VDC, including rectifiers, batteries, and DC-DC converters.

Ø Architect DC power systems for telecom, data centers, and industrial applications.

Ø Support DC distribution layouts, protection, and monitoring.

· Power Quality & Protection Engineering

Ø Conduct harmonic analysis, power factor correction, and grounding/earthing design.

Ø Design lightning protection systems (LPS) and surge protection solutions.

Ø Ensure robust system protection and operational stability.

Required Skills & Qualifications· Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

· Experience: 8 –12 years in electrical product design and customer engagement.

· Strong knowledge of LV/MV/HV Electrical systems and protection devices, power distribution and automation products, renewable energy systems and energy storage.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
